Julian Beever

Can't remember if I blogged these before, but these are just bloody amazing so here they are again!

Julian Beever is an english artist who’s famous for his art on the pavement of england, France, germany, usa, australia and belgium. It’s particularity ? Beever gives to his drawing an anamorphose, his images are drawn completly diforms which give a 3D image when viewing on the righ angle … see for yourself it’s amazing !!!

This is what a picture looks like when you view it from the wrong angle

And this is it properly!

WOW these are fabulous, especially the first one, my brain didnt want to comprehend that it was a 2D drawing made with chalk! i found myself searching for one part of the drawing that wasnt as good that would give it away, but i didnt. Fabulous, absolutely fabulous, i think im gonna go quit art school...LOL

The last 2 pics are not the same picture - look at the pavements - they are different. Also, look at the grate that appears near the top left corner of the picture It should be visible in the second last picture if they are the same scene, but they are not. Pity, the effect is really good.

Cool stuff! But you do not tell us what the 'right angle is' to take a pic with 3D

He is an amazing man.
To be able to draw naturally but make the picture extra special by giving them a 3D look.
Keep up the good work.
Do you decorate rooms?

Julian, you are an amazing artist and your beautiful work brought a smile to my face on a really crappy day. If and when you are ever in Australia, please come to sunny Melbourne (well, sometimes) and decorate our drab streets.
